2010. 8. 29. ㅊ산.
어라? 이 때 쯤 이산에 처음 온 건 아닌데 세잎쥐손이가 이렇게나 많이 피고 있는 줄 왜 몰랐을까?
먼 산에서 어렵게 만나는 녀석으로만 생각하고 있었더니 등산로 옆에 지천으로 꽃을 피우고 있었던 것을.
꽃은 8월에 피고 지름 1-1.5cm이며 줄기 끝 엽액에서 긴 화경이 나와 화경끝에 1~2송이씩 달리는데 소화경은 다소 짧다.
꽃잎은 5개이고 연한 홍색이며 보다 짙은 색의 맥이 있고 10대의 수술이 있고 화주(花柱)는 5개이다.
꽃받침에 짧은 털이 있으며 피침형이며 끝이 뾰족하다.
잎은 대생하며 엽병이 길고 밑부분의 것 이외에는 3개(간혹 5개)로 깊게 갈라지며 폭 5-8cm로서 표면과 뒷면 맥 위에 복모가 있다.
열편은 마름모 비슷한 피침형이고 불규칙한 결각상의 톱니가 있으며 끝이 뾰족하고 탁엽은 좁으며 서로 떨어진다
선형의 탁엽이 2개 씩 있다.
