좀사방오리(자작나무과 오리나무속) Alnus pendula Matsum.

아직 만나보지 못한 녀석이라 꽃이 폈다는 소식에

수꽃이 아직 꽃밥도 터뜨리기 전에 달려 왔다가 암꽃을 못봤더랬다.

 

해서 지금 쯤은 암꽃이 폈을거란 예상에 다시 또 찾았더니

길다란 꽃자루를 아래로 늘어뜨린 암꽃치례가 이쁘게 매달려 있다.

 

위로 꼿꼿하게 서는 사방오리와는 암꽃차례가 전혀 다른 모습이다.

사방오리는 측맥이 13~17쌍이고 암꽃차례는 1~2개가 모여서 위로 서는데 비하여

좀사방오리는 측맥은 20~26쌍이고 암꽃차례는  3~6개씩 달려서 아래로 늘어진다.

 

 

잎몸은 난상 타원형 또는 타원상 피침형으로 길이 5~15cm, 폭 2~5cm, 끝은 점차 뾰족해지고 

가장자리는 불규칙한 겹톱니 모양이다. 

측맥은 20~26쌍이 며 뒷면 잎맥 위에 누운털이 있다.
