신감채는 묏미나리보다 더 가늘고 여린 느낌을 주며
선형의 총포가 더 많고 잎의 거치가 결각성으로 깊게 갈라져 있고 끝부분이 길게 빠져 있어서 묏미나리와 구분이 된다.
한국기준식물도감 : 총포는 없거나 3~4개, 소총포는 선형으로 소화경보다 길다.
대한식물도감: 총포편은 선형이며 길이 1cm로서 녹색이고 가장자리가 백색 막질이며 소총포도 선형이고 각 6~7개이다
중국식물지 : 총포 선형 ~8개, 소총포 5~10개
총포가 6개 달려 있다. 선형의 총포는 가장자리가 막질이다.
소총포의 모습이다. 소총포는 총포보다는 갯수가 더 많다. 소화경은 10-20개이다.
꽃차례는 복산형화서로 달리며 산경은 길고 소산경은 10개 정도로서 능선이 있고 능선 윗부분에 잔돌기가 있다.

근생엽과 밑부분의 잎은 엽병이 길고 3출복엽이며 엽병 밑부분이 넓어져서 원줄기를 거의 둘러싼다.
소엽은 난형 또는 타원형이고 다시 결각 상으로 갈라지거나 불규칙한 톱니가 있으며 끝부분이 길게 뾰족해지고 톱니가 없다.
