작은 물도랑 가장자리에 박하 꽃이 곱다.
박하 옆을 스쳐 가기만 해도 박하향이 진동을 한다.
박하라는 이름을 들으면 박하사탕과 박하껌이 먼저 떠오른다.
예전에는 약초로 재배하기도 했다는데 향신료의 원료로 많이 이용하지 않았나 싶다.
잎은 대생하고 긴 타원형이며 양끝이 좁고 길이 2-5cm, 나비 1-2.5cm로서 양면에 유점과 털이 약간 있으며
가장자리에 톱니가 있고 엽병은 길이 3-10mm이다.
