개별꽃(석죽과) 폐쇄화 열매 Pseudostellaria heterophylla (Miq.) Pax

늘 그냥 지나쳤다.

그러다가 꼭 다 사그러져 갈 때 쯤 아쉬워하면서 찾아 다닌다. 개별꽃이 그랬다.

 학교 휴무일이라 가까운 청량산 숲을 어슬렁거리다가 개별꽃 뿌리는 어케 생겼나 싶어서 파 보았다.

헌데 생각지도 않았던 폐쇄화 열매를 확인하게 될 줄이야. ㅎ

 

개방화 열매가 제법 크다.

꽃이 여러 개 피는 이 녀석을 전에는 다화개별꽃으로 따로 이름을 가지고 있었는데 이제는 개별꽃으로 통합하였다.

 

 

꽃은 5월에 피며 소화경은 길이 2-3cm로서 한쪽에 털이 줄지어 돋고 1개의 백색 꽃이 위를 향해 달린다.

꽃받침잎은 5개이며 꽃잎도 5개로서 도란형이고 길이 6mm이며 원두 또> 는 둔한 절두이다.

수술은 10개이고 꽃밥은 황색이며 자방에 3개로 갈라진 암술대가 있고 지면 가까이에 폐쇄화가 몇 개씩 달리며 대가 있다.

 

  

잎은 대생하며 윗부분의 잎이 특히 커지지 않고 도피침형이며 길이 10-40mm, 폭 2-4mm로서 예두이고 밑부분이 좁아져서 엽병처럼 된다.

 

 

 

아래쪽 잎 겨드랑이에 달린 폐쇄화 열매이다.

 

 

 

원줄기는 1-2개씩 나오고 높이 8-12cm로서 줄로 돋은 털이 있으며 가늘고 길며 곧게 선다.

방추형의 괴근이 1-2개씩 달린다. 뿌리를 태자삼(太子蔘)이라 한다.
