덩굴용담(용담과)

제주에서도 그리 멀리 이동하지 않고 이렇게 풍성하게 꽃 피운 녀석을 만날 수 있음에 감사한다.

작년에도 9월 12일 내려 왔었는데 이상하게도 덩굴용담을 제대로 만나지 못하였다.

이번 탐사에서 중산간 숲에서 신나게 담았는데 바닥에 깔려 있는 용담 줄기를 밟지 않으려고 무척이나 조심해야 했다.

덩굴용담 꽃은 자주색을 띤다고 하는데 이 숲의 덩굴용담은 대부분 흰색이었다

 

 

 

 미처 기어 오를 작은 나무를 차지하지 못하고 숲 바닥에 이리 저리 엉긴 녀석들은 체념한 듯 누워 있었고

그나마 작은 풀 줄기라도 의지한 녀석들은 이렇게 여유롭게 꽃을 피웠다.

 

 

 

꽃받침통은 길이 6-8mm로서에 5개의 좁은 날개가 있고 열편은 선형이며 통부와 길이가 비슷하거나 다소 길다.

 

 

잎은 대생, 긴 난형 또는 난상 피침형, 끝이 길게 뾰족하고, 심장저 또는 원저, 길이 4~8cm, 폭 12~35mm, 3맥이 있으며,

표면은 짙은 녹색, 뒷면은 연한 녹색으로서 흔히 자줏빛이 돌고, 가장자리는 밋밋, 엽병은 길이 5-15mm이다.
