털개회나무(물푸레나무과 수수꽃다리속) Syringa patula (Palib.) Nakai

대청봉에서 중청을 바라보면서....

털개회나무와 정향나무를 같이 보는 시각도 있는데

정향나무는 높은 산 능성 부위에 분포를 하고 털개회나무는 낮은산 계곡 주변에 서식을 한다고 한다.

안동 주변의 계곡에서도 털개회나무가 서식하고 있다. 설악에서 만난 정향나무는 잎이 더 작고 마름모에 가까웠다.

 

 

 

 

 위의 개체를 부분 크롭한 것이다. 전년지 끝에 화서가 있는 게 보인다.

 

 

꽃은 5월에 피고 자주색으로서 화경이 없으며 향기가 있고 원추화서는 전년지 끝에 달리며 화축에 보통 털이 있다.

화통은 길이 7-8mm이며

열편이 젖혀지고 수술이 통부에 달린다.

(꽃개회나무는 열편 끝에 돌기가 있고 열편이 안으로 굽거나 뒤로 젖혀진다)

 

 

묵은 가지끝에 화서가 있다. 화축이 자색이다. 잎맥이 약간 홈이 패여 있다.

 

 

잎은 대생하고 넓은 난형 또는 아원형이며 첨두 원저로서 표면에 털이 없고 엽맥에 홈이 지며

뒷면은 털이 없거나 주맥 기부에 털이 있고 엽맥이 약간 들어가며 엽병은 털이 없거나 간혹 있다.
