버들개회나무(물푸레나무과 수수꽃다리속) Syringa fauriei H.Lév.

모임 뒷날 일정은 각각 자유로이 선택이란다. 돌아 오는 길에 어디를 들르면 가장 좋을까 싶었는데

버들개회나무 꽃을 보러 물 맑은 계곡을 들르는 게 좋겠다 싶어서 그리하자니 안동에서 동행한 꽃동무도 그 곳에 가고 싶단다

 

헌디 버들개회나무를 보러 간다는 말에 다른 팀도 함께 움직이고 싶다고 해서 일행이 더 늘었다.

길 눈 밝은 내 차가 제일 앞장을 서서 달리기를 40분 여. 역시 마을 주민들이 막아 놓은 차단기가 앞을 막는다.

 

어라? 너무 늦었나?

지난 번에 확인했던 밭둑의 버들개회나무를 보니 흰 꽃이 안 보인다. 이미 꽃이 다 져 버렸나 보다.

 

 

할 수 없지. 그냥 막 탐사를 하눈 수밖에. 모두 차를 버리고 계곡 바닥을 따라 걷기 시작이다.

돌바닥을 걷기에는 아직 목발이 허락하지 않는 나는 포장 길을 따라 걷다가 계곡을 들락거리고.

 

계곡을 따라 거슬러 한참을 올라가니 버들개회나무가 몇 그루 보인다.

작년의 열매를 달았던 흔적은 보이는데 올해 꽃을 피운 화서는 안 보인다.

 

 

 

  

더 안쪽의 녀석은 역시 꽃을 거의 떨군 상태로....이 녀석과 인연이 아직은 아닌 모양이다.

그래도 아쉽게나마 꽃잎 떨어진 화서를 이리 보고 저리 보면서 ....
