야호다~! 드뎌 눈개불알풀을 만났다.
작년부터 이 녀석을 만나려고 했는데 우째 인연이 닿지 않아서 올해서야 만나게 되었다.
육지에서는 전라도 쪽으로 가야만 볼 수 있는 녀석이고,
제주도에도 한 곳에만 서식하기 때문에 때를 잘 맞추어야 했는데 다행하게도 절정기는 지났지만 그 덕분에 열매까지 담을 수가 있었다.
선개불일풀은 꼿꼿하게 서서 꽃을 피우니 <선>개불알풀이고. 이 녀석은 줄기가 길게 포복하여 벋어나가는 <누운> 개불알풀이다.
이미지 그림으로만 봐도 꽃받침과 잎에 긴털이 부숭부숭하더니만 정말 털이 많다.
꽃은 잎겨드랑이에 1개씩 달려 총상화서를 이루며, 꽃자루 길이와 같고, 화관 지름은 4~5mm 정도의 크기이고, 4조각으로 깊게 갈라진다.
꽃받침은 4개이고, 열편은 삼각형이며, 가장자리에 긴 털이 있고 수술 2개, 암술 1개이다

아래쪽 잎은 마주나고, 위쪽 잎은 어긋나며 개화시에도 떡잎이 남아 있다.
잎은 원형으로 둔두이며, 평저 또는 얕은 심장저로 3~5갈래로 천열한다.
3~5개의 둔한 거치가 있고 표면에는 긴 털이 있다. 윗면에는 짧은 털이 있다. 너비 6~20mm이다
열매는 납작한 형태가 아니고 구형의 삭과로 꽃받침보다 짧고, 폭이 넓으며, 종자는 4개로 길이 2.5mm 정도이고 안쪽에 골이 있다.
줄기는 가늘고 전체에 털이 있으며 포복하다 끝이 곧게 서고 사방으로 분지 한다
