열매 모양이 개불알풀과 같다. 논밭 근처나 논둑에서 볼 수 있다.
작년에 서울에서 연수를 받을 때 그 곳 주변 개천에서 처음 본 녀석이다.
제주에서 문모초를 보다. 제주 꽃동무도 이 녀석을 찾은 지 얼마 안 된다고 한다.
내 사는 곳 가까이에도 문모초가 있다고는 하는데 아직 찾아보지 못하였다.
