문모초(현삼과)

오호홍~~!  기뻐라.

서울 연수 덕분에 사진으로만 보던 문모초를 만나다니.

 

연수 시작 시간이  여유가 있어서 아침 시간에 교육 문화회관 옆 양재천을 어슬렁 거렸다.

어제에 이어 이틀 째 아침 산책이라 어제와 반대 방향으로 바닥을 살피는데 천변 공터에 채전밭도 만들어 놓았다.

주변 바닥에는 한 뼘도 안 되는 물칭개도 보이고 살갈퀴, 꽃창포가 아침을 환하게 반기고 있다.

 

물칭개를 담는데 옆에 선이질풀이 있길래 그냥 지나치려고 하는데 어라?

좀 이상하다. 하얀 좁쌀 같은 꽃에 잎이 길쭉하기만 하다. 이거 좀개불알풀같다 싶어서 주변을 살펴보니

선개불알풀이라고 생각했던 녀석들 모두 이 녀석이다. 헌데 전초에 털이 하나도 없다 분명 열매는 개불알풀처럼 하트 모양인데....

 

마침 공자님 후손님의 전화가 와서 좀개불알풀 같은 게 양재천에 있다 하니. 좀개불알풀은 아랫녘에서만 자생한단다.

오전 내내 이 녀석이 뭘까 다시 생각하고 머리를 회전시키다가 퍼뜩 스치는 이미지. 그렇지! 문모초다!

ㅎㅎㅎ.....그랬다. 문모초였다. 한 번도 만나 본 적이 없는. 공자님 후손 왈, 서울에는 쌔발랫다고..ㅎ

개소시랑개비에 이어 서울 동네에서 두 번째 수확이 문모초다.

 

 잎은 엽병이 없으며 줄기 하부에서 대생하고 상부에서는 호생하며 길이 1.5~2cm 폭 3~5mm로서

좁고 긴 타원형이고 끝이 둔하며 가장자리에 2~3개의 둔한 톱니가 약간 있거나 밋밋하다. 

 

 

헌데 문모초에 대한 기재문들을 보면 붉은색이 꽃이 핀다라고 하는데 이 녀석은 아주 깨끗한 흰색이었다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

양재천은 안동 촌 아짐에게 즐거운 풀꽃자리를 내어 주었다.
