미선나무(물푸레나무과)

아름다운 부채 열매를 가진 미선나무가 꽃을 활짝 피웠다.

한국특산 식물로 꽃은 흰색 개나리랑 닮았다. 열매에 날개가 달려 있어서 마치 부채처럼 생겼다

 

 

 

 

수술대 아래에 2개의 동그란 암술 머리가 살짝 보인다.

 

꽃부리가 4갈래로 갈라지고 생김새는 개나리와 비슷하며 향기 나는 흰 꽃이 피므로 영어로는 'White Forsythia'라고 부른다. 둥그런 열매가 마치 부채처럼 생겼다고 해서 한국에서는 미선(美扇 또는 尾扇)나무로 부르기도 한다
