날씨가 무척 좋다. 볕이 강하여 더위가 느껴진다. 해가림용 마스크를 착용하고 모자를 눌러 쓰니 덥다.
동쪽 해안에 커다란 바람개비가 돌고 있다. 해안도로을 따라 가다가 덩게 해안에 잠시 차를 멈추었다.
곧 오름과 산록으로 이동하기 때문에 바닷가 식물은 여기서 담아야 한다.
바닷가에 자생하는 산형과 중에서 개체가 큰 종류로 갯기름나물, 갯강활이 있다. 갯강활은 꽃대가 사람 키만큼 큰다.
높이 60-100cm이고 곧게 자라며 끝부분에 짧은 털이 있고 가지를 치며 그 밖의 부분은 평활하다.
화서는 10-20개의 소산경으로 갈라져서 끝에 각 20-30개의 꽃이 달린다.
잎은 호생하며 엽병이 길고 회록색으로서 백분을 칠한 듯하며 2-3회 우상복엽이다.
소엽은 능상 도란형이고 두꺼우며 길이 3-6cm로서 흔히 3개로 갈라지고 불규칙하고 깊은 치아상의 톱니가 있으며
윗부분의 잎은 퇴화되고 엽초가 터지지 않는다.
