갯기름나물(산형과 기름나물속) Peucedanum japonicum Thunb.

학교 야생화 동산에 갯기름나물이 신부의 부케 같이 하얀 꽃을 피우고 있다.

 나물이란 접미사가 붙어서 식용하기는 하는가 보다 했더니 어린 잎을 나물로 먹는다고 한다.

그런데 나물이란 접미사가 붙어 있다고 해도 무턱대고 먹었다가 혼이 나는 종류도 있으니

그 이름에 혹하여 명을 단축하는 일이 없도록 해야 한다.

꽃은 6~8월에 피며 백색이고 복산형화서로 줄기 끝이나 가지 끝에 정생하며

화서는 10-20개의 소산경으로 갈라져서 끝에 각 20-30개의 꽃이 달린다. 꽃잎은 5개이며

소산경은 길이 2-3.5cm이고 소화경과 더불어 안쪽에 털이 있으며 총포는 없고

소총포는 5~10개로서 삼각형 또는 피침형이다. 5개의 수술이 있다.

  

 

  

잎은 호생하며 엽병이 길고 회록색으로서 백분을 칠한 듯하며 2-3회 우상복엽이다.

소엽은 능상 도란형이고 두꺼우며 길이 3-6cm로서 흔히 3개로 갈라지고

불규칙하고 깊은 치아상의 톱니가 있으며 윗부분의 잎은 퇴화되고 엽초가 터지지 않는다.
