상동나무(갈매나무과 상동나무속)열매 Sageretia thea (Osbeck) M.C.Johnst.

옥녀꽃대를 담고 주변 습지를 둘러 보는데 나무 열매가 눈에 들어 온다. 상동나무란다.

여린 잎이 참 곱다. 지금 이렇게 열매가 달렸다면 늦은 가을 쯤에 꽃을 피웠겠지? 꽃은 어떻게 생겼을까?

 

꽃은 양성으로 10-11월에 피고 여러 개가 정생 또는 액생하는 길이 2-5cm 의 수상 원추화서를 이루며 화서에 갈색 털이 밀생한다.

열매는 이듬해 4-5월에 흑자색으로 성숙한다. 남쪽 섬의 표고 200m 이하에서 자생한다.

 

 

 

 

가지 끝이 밑으로 처지며, 소지에 8줄의 능선과 갈색 잔털이 있으며 끝이 흔히 가시로 변한다
