자료를 모으느라고 한 사흘 걸렸다. 꽃이 없지만 꽃은 거의 비슷하여 있으나 마나하고,

잎과 열매의 특징으로 구분이 쉬운데, 열매가 아직 어려서 특징을 잡기 어렵다. 가을에 열매를 다시 보충해야 겠다.

포린이 길고 뒤로 굽어 있음	포린이 길고 뒤로 굽어 있음(상수리보다 포린이 짧음)	포린(비늘조각)은 참나무 중에서 가장 작으며 피침형이고 열매가 길쭉함	삼각형의 포린으로 덮이고	깍정이의 포린(비늘조각)은 세모꼴로 붙어 있음	깍정이의 인편이 밤송이처럼 긴 털로 덮히고 뒤로 젖혀짐
상수리나무 긴 타원형, 잎가장자리에 침상의 예리한 톱니, 12-16쌍의 측맥, 엽병은 길이 1-3cm, 잎 표면 털 없음 뒷면에 털(단모) 있음, 뒷면 누른빛을 띤 녹색, 잎끝이 좁아지면서 뾰족하게 빠짐	굴참나무 타원형의 잎은 어긋나고 잎맥이 9~16쌍, 뒷면에 별모양의 털, 뾰족한 톱니, 잎 뒷면 회백색, 잎자루 있음, 잎 끝이 상수리보다 부드러운 각을 이루면서 빠짐.	졸참나무    표면에 털 있음,  톱니는 다소 안쪽으로 향함, 엽병이 있음, 잎 맥은 7-12쌍이며 맥 위에 단복모, 넓은잎 참나무 중에서 잎이 가장 작음	갈참나무     타원상 도란형 또는 타원형이고, 표면은 광택이 나는 녹색이며 뒷면은 회백색,  엽병은 길이 1-36mm이며 가장자리에 파상 또는 굵은 모양의 톱니, 잎자루가 있음	신갈나무 거꾸로 된 달걀 모양이며, 잎 가장자리에 파도 모양의 톱니(굴참나무 보다 잘다), 잎 밑은 귓볼 모양으로 늘어져 있다. 잎자루가 거의 없이  줄기에 바로 잎이 붙어 있음.  잎 끝부분 뾰족함	떡갈나무 잎 가장자리에 신갈나무 보다 더 성긴 파도 모양의 톱니, 가장자리에 3-17쌍의 측맥, 잎 밑은 귓볼 모양. 잎자루가 거의 없음, 참나무과 수목 중에 잎이 제일 큼, 잎 끝부분이 무딤
