참으아리(미나리아재비과 으아리속) Clematis terniflora DC.

일반 으아리가 6~7월에 피는 것에 비하여 참으아리는 7~9월 여름에 핀다.

 

참으아리 : 꽃받침이 4개, 잎 끝이 뾰족하지 않고 둥그스름 한 것. 열매 잔털이 있고 깃털을 가진 긴 암술대가 있음
으아리 : 꽃받침잎이 4~5개이고 잎 끝이 뾰족 한 것. 열매에 백색 털이 있는 길이 2cm 정도의 꼬리같은 암술대가 있음
조령으아리 : 꽃받침이 6개인 것. 열매가 납작하고 날개 있으며 짧은 암술대가 돌기처럼 나 있음

외대으아리 : 꽃받침이 4~5장인 것. 열매에 털이 없고, 날개 있으며 짧은 암술대가 돌기처럼 달려 있음

대구으아리 : 꽃받침잎이 4~6개인 것, 납작한 열매에 3cm정도의 암술대에 흰털이 있음

 

꽃은 7-9월에 백색으로 피고 지름 2-3cm로서 백색이며

액생 또는 정생하는 원추화서 또는 취산화서에 달리고 많은 꽃이 피어 뒤덮으며 향기가 있다.

꽃잎처럼 보이는 것은 꽃받침인데 꽃받침 잎은 4개로 긴 타원형이며,(6개 짜리는 조령으아리라 한다) 

길이는 12mm로 겉에 털이 거의 없고, 수술대는 꽃밥보다 길다.  

 

 

 

잎은 대생하며 3~7개의 소엽으로 구성된 우상복엽이다.

소엽은 길이 3~10cm, 폭 2~4cm로서 난형, 넓은 난형 또는 피침형이고 둔두 또는 첨두이며 원저 또는 아심장저이고

 양면에 털이 없으며 보통 가장자리에 톱니가 없지만 간혹 결각상이다.  엽병은 구부러져서 덩굴과 같은 역할을 한다.
