산지 습지 주변에 자생하는 녀석이다.
늦은 기을에 개화를 하는 녀석이라 이맘 때 쯤 내려 가야만 꽃이 핀 모습을 볼 수가 있다.
개올미속 녀석들 열매를 보고 싶기도 했고 아직 만나지 못한 구실 개올미와 다른 녀석 몇 종도 궁금하여
섬지역 식물상 조사 표본도 제출 할 겸 겨사겸사 남도로 내려 갔다.
습지로 들어가는 좌우에 녀석이 화사하게 쓸쓸한 가을을 장식하고 있다.
오래 전 경기도 습지에서 처음 만나본 적이 있는데 이곳 남도 습지에서 지난 해에 이어 두번 째로 개화한 모습을 만났다.
버들잎처럼 좁고 유연하게 빠진 선형 또는 좁은 피침형의 잎을 가지고 있다.
총포편은 6~7줄로 배열한다.
