좀바랭이(벼과 바랭이속) Digitaria radicosa (J. Presl) Miq.

풀베기한 언덕배기, 넘어가는 햇살에 좀바랭이 총(꽃가지)이 멋지게 잘 드러난다.

 

 2~4(5)개의 총이  줄기 끝에 모여 달리며, 총의 길이 4~8cm, 화축은 편평하며 날개가 있고 날개 가장자리는 작은 자침이 없어 밋밋하다. 소수는 2개씩 달리며 자루의 길이가 서로 다르다. 소수 길이 3mm 정도이며, 소화가 2개,  제1소화는 불임성이며 제2소화가 임성이다. 제1포영은 없거나 흔적으로 남아 있으며, 제2포영은 피침형으로 1.5~2.0mm이고 털이 있다. 호영은 5개의 맥이 있고 내영과 길이가 비슷하다.
