제주도 해안에 만날 수 있는 녀석이다.
동해안과 남해안에서도 흔하지는 않지만 더러 보이기도 한다.
동해 최북단 자생지는 시설물 설치로 망가져 사라질 위기이고
이 곳도 주만들이 생활 쓰레기를 버려서 갯바위를 거의 덮어 버리고 있다.
