패랭이꽃(석죽과) Dianthus chinensis L.

부슬부슬 빗방울이 떨어지는 원지 동산에 패랭이가 참 곱다.

태어나서부터 지금까지 살고 있는 집 근처 둑방에는 패랭이가 곱게도 피었었다.

 

어릴 적 학교 갔다가 돌아와서 소 풀 먹이러 둑방에 나갔다가 친구들과 만나면

패랭이꽃을 뜯어서 소꼽놀이를 하곤 했는데,

 

지금은 몇 알 알곡을 수확한다고 둑방이며 하천부지를 갈아 엎어버리더니만

둑 근처의 잡풀을 낫이나 예취기로 베는 게 아니라 제초제를 들여붓고 있다.  

 

발갛게 타 버린 그 둑방을 보는 맴이 내 맴이 아니다.

풀이 모두 말라 버리면 흙이 쓸려 내려가서도 좋지 않을텐데....에혀~! 

 

 

포가 3-4쌍이고 꽃받침통과 길이가 같거나 1/2 정도이다
