몽골식물- 대황(마디풀과 대황속) Rheum rhabarbarum

자연경관지 안 산지 야트막한 구릉과 초지에서 첫날 숙영을 하기로 하고 텐트를 치는데

주변에 대형 식물이 눈에 들어 온다. 바로 대황이다.

2015년 탐사 때에도 반갑게 만났던 녀석이다.

 

우리나라에도 대황속 식물로 '장군풀 Rheum  coreanum' 이 백두산과 함경북도 함경남도 산지에 분포하고 있다.

대황은 자생하지는 않고 약용으로 더러 재배를 한다는데

국내에서는 딱 한포기 군위의 어느 마을 담모퉁이에서 본 적이 있다.

 

중국식물지에는 대황을 '파엽대황'이라 하는데 잎 가장자리에 물결성거치가 그 이름을 대변하고 있다.
