몽골식물- 냄새용머리(꿀풀과 용머리속) Dracocephaalum foetidum

첫 야영지로 이동하는 도중 징기스칸 공원 주변 초지에서 담은 꿀풀과 용머리속 녀석이다.

잎이 다소 두터웠고 끝이 둔한 결각성 거치가 있었는데 김찬수박사가 냄새용머리라 명명해 두었다.

 

종소명 'foetidus' 가 '냄새가 나는' 또는 '악취가 나는' 이란 뜻을 가지고 있어서 그리 명명하였다고 한다.

냄새를 맡아 보지 못하여서 확인은 할 수가 없다.건조한 산지 아래나 스텝지역에 널리 분포하고 있었다.
