갯실새삼(메꽃과 새삼속)

갯실새삼은 열매가 성숙하여도 꽃통부에 거의 싸여 있기 때문에
꽃통부(화통) 밖으로 거의 반 이상이 노출 되는 미국실새삼과는 다르다.

 

몇 번 만난 적이 있는 갯실새삼은 내륙과 해안 모두 분포하고 있었는데 매듭풀과 갯메꽃에 엉겨 있었다.

국가 기관 사이트에 갯실새삼이 순비기 나무에 기생한다는 엉터리 내용 때문에

순비기나무에만 엉겨 있는 미국실새삼을 갯실새삼으로 오인하게 하고 있다.

 

 

화통이 자방을 거의 싸안고 있고 꽃받침도 화통의 1/2 이상을 덮고 있다.

 

화통이 열매를 다 덮어서 열매가 노출되지 않고 있다.
