별나팔꽃(메꽃과 나팔꽃속) Ipomoea triloba L.

고구마꽃처럼 자색을 띠고 있는 작은 별나팔꽃 녀석이 노지를 뒤덮고 있다.

우리나라 남부지방, 제주도 등에 자라며, 아시아, 북아메리카 등에 귀화하여 분포한다.

 

애기나팔꽃에 비해 꽃차례 길이는 잎보다 길고, 꽃자루에 달리는 꽃은 3~8개로 보다 많다.

꽃 색은 분홍색, 붉은색, 흰색 줄이 있거나 없는 등 다양한 변이가 있다.   

 

 

줄기는 덩굴성이고 전체에 털이 없다.

잎은 어긋나며, 난형 또는 원형으로 밑부분은 심장 모양이고 가장자리는 밋밋하거나 간혹 3갈래로 갈라지기도 하며, 끝이 급하게 뾰족해진다
