개회향(산형과 기름당귀속) Ligusticum tachiroei (Franch. & Sav.) M.Hiroe & Constance

특별한 녀석들이 있어서 봄과 여름에 한번씩 힘들게 찾는 산이다

탐사를 하다가 처음 접하는 녀석을 대면하게 되면 무척 신이 난다.

녀석의 정체를 파헤치는 과정이 흥미가 있고 재미 있기 때문이다.

 

오래 전 개회향과 고본을 두고 두 녀석을 확인하느라 끙끙대었던 시절이 있었다.

그런 과정을 통해서 조금씩 식물체를 이해하게 되고 모르던 사실을 확인하게 되면서 식물 자체에 흥미를 갖게 되었다.

 

개회향은 건조한 암릉지대에 주로 서식하고 고본은 고산의 풀숲 비옥한 곳에 자란다

이 곳 정상부 암릉 사이 사이에도 개회향이 자생하고 있다

국내에서는 개회향을 경남의 산과 이 곳 두군데서 밖에 만나지 못하였다.

 

헌데 어떤이들이 이 곳의 이 녀석을 고본이라 주장했던 모양이다

가을 열매 모습을 확인하러 오른 적이 없었지만 개회향이라 확신하고 있는데

가을 날 이웃 블로거님이  이 곳에 올라서 열매를 확인하며 개회향임을 대신 확인해 주었다.

 

 

1. 키 : 개회향 10~30cm, 고본 30~80cm. 전체 키는 개회향이 작음 2. 향기 : 둘 다 한약 냄새 같은 향기가 강함. 3. 잎모양 : 개회향은3~4회 깃꼴겹잎, 고본은 3회 깃꼴겹잎.       개회향 : 풍성하게 달리고 열편이 실처럼 가늘고 짧으며 부드러우며 연약해 보임.        고본 : 열편이 개회향보다 길고 실이라기 보다 코스모스 잎 정도의 너비가 있으며 튼실한 느낌, 4. 소산경 : 개회향은 10개 미만이고, 고본은 15~20개 정도이다.
