산 능선에서 센바람을 견디면서 다홍색 꽃을 피운 싸리를 델꼬 왔었다.
고산이라 그런가 나지막한 키에 꽃색이 유난히 붉고 화서도 작고 드문게 뭔가 좀 달라 보이긴 하였다
정체를 밝히는 게 귀찮아서 그냥 싸리로 정리해 두었다가
아무래도 찝찝하여 녀석의 꽃을 중심으로 세밀하게 살펴보니......
중남부지역의 고산의 바위지대나 숲 가장자리에 드물게 서식을 하는 녀석으로
싸리에 비하여 꽃이 작고 흑자색을 띠며 익판이 용골판보다 긴 점, 꽃받침 열편 끝이 둥글고 열매에 털이 적은게 특징이며
일본에서도 자생지가 3곳에 불과하며 우리 나라에서도 개체 수가 그다지 많지 않은 세계적으로 희귀한 종인 검나무싸리다.

작고 오동통한 꽃이 꽃색이 유난히 붉어서 그냥 무심코 담아 온 이 녀석이 흔하지 않은 검나무싸리였다니. 헐~!!
길이가 긴 작은 꽃자루에 흑자색의 꽃이 총상으로 모여 달린다.
어린 가지의 색이 검은 자색을 띠고 있다. 아마 그래서 검은나무=>검나무 란 접두어를 달지 않았을까 싶다.
꽃받침은 누운 털이 있고 4갈래로 열편이 갈라지며 끝이 둥글고 길이는 거의 비슷하다.
꽃받침에 누운 털이 많이 덮여 있다.
기판 : 10mm 정도, 익판 : 9~10mm, 용골판 : 8.5~9mm 로
용골판이 익판보다 다소 짧긴 하지만 모두 거의 비슷한 길이이다.
잎 끝이 둥글고 표면에 털이 없으며 주맥을 따라 누운털이 드물게 있다.
