털이슬(바늘꽃과)

털이슬속 녀석들의 이름을 보면 참 잘 지었다는 생각이든다.

전초의 크기와 특징을 잘 살려서 쥐털이슬, 개털이슬, 말털이슬, 소(쇠)털이슬.....

동물이름을 붙여서 기억하기도 쉽고 이미지와 연관 짓기도 쉬워서 좋다.

 

이 녀석 털이슬은 쇠털이슬과 비슷하지만 잎이 더 좁고 긴 난형이며

쇠털은 긴털이 있는데 비하여 털이슬은 고부라진 짧은 털이 있고

가지가 많이 분지하고 줄기 마디가 굵고 붉은색을 띠고 있는 점에서 쇠털이슬과 차이가 있다.

 

잎은 대생하고 마디 사이의 밑부분이 다소 굵으며 홍자색이 돌고 넓은 피침형이며 밑부분이 예저 또는 원저이고

길이 5-10cm, 폭 2-3cm로서 끝이 뾰족하며 가는 털이 퍼져 나고 가장자리에 얕은 톱니가 있으며 엽병은 길이 1-4cm로서 잔털이 있다.

 

꽃은 8월에 피며 총상화서는 줄기 끝이나 엽액에 달리고, 화서는 꽃이 핀 다음 자라서 길이가 15cm정도로 되고

털이 없거나 잔털이 있으며 꽃받침잎은 2개로서 녹색이고 꽃잎도 2개로서 백색이며 끝이 2개로 갈라지고 수술은 2개이며 자방은 하위이다.

 

 

열매는 넓은 도란형이며 4개의 홈이 있고 지름 3-4mm로서 끝이 굽은 털이 밀생하며 열매와 길이가 비슷하거나 1.5배 정도의 긴 대가 있다.

 

 

 

줄기의 마디가 발달되어 있고 붉다.

 

 

높이 40-60cm이고 전체에 밑을 향한 부드러운 털이 있다. 쇠털이슬은 긴털과 짧은털이 있다.
