최근의 내 화두는 개털이슬과 황새승마이다.
여태껏 쥐털이슬로 정리해 올린 대부분의 녀석들이 개털이슬이란 걸 확인하고
다시 그 특징을 확인하러 녀석들이 있는 현장에 달려 갔다.
개털이슬은 쥐털이슬과 유사하지만 줄기에 고부라진 털이 덮여 있고
화축에 대한 소화경의 기울기가 거의 직각이거나 아래로 약간 쳐지는 정도로 달려 있으며 화서의 달린이 느슨한 것이 특징이다.
쥐털이슬과 개털이슬의 차이점은 아래와 같다.

| 줄기에 털이 없다. 개화 후 화서가 길어진다 소화경 기부에 소포가 있다. 꽃은 근접하고 밀집해서 개화시에는 산방상이며 개화시 소화경은 직립하거나 위로 향한다. |
줄기에 짧고 갈고리 형태의 굽은털이 있다. 화서는 개화 전에 길어진다. 소포가 없다. 꽃은 약간 엉성하게 벌어지며 맨아래의 소화경은 원추화서의 축과 직각으로 늘어진다. |
녀석이 살고 있는 곳에 도착하여 화서부터 살피니 소화경의 달림이 느슨하고 거의 수평으로 달려 있다.
소화경 기부에 소포가 안 보인다.
줄기에는 고부라진 털이 밀생하고 있고
잎자루 위쪽에도 고부라진 털이 있다.
잎 가장자리와 표면에도 짧은 털이 있다
이 녀석은 화축에는 털이 없고 꽃의 달림이 느슨하며 소화경이 옆으로 퍼지거나 다소 아래로 늘어져 있어서
개털이슬임을 확인할 수 있다.
쥐털이슬은 화서가 조밀하여 산방상으로 나타나고 개화 후에 화서가 자라며 소화경 직립하거나 위로 선다고 한다
