한라구절초(국화과 구절초속) Dendranthema coreanum (H.Lév. & Vaniot) Vorosch.

늘 생태숲에 심어 놓은 녀석만 담아오니 아쉽다.

윗세오름에 한 번 올라 봤으면 좋겠는데 어째 가을에는 여의치가 않다.

하기사 윗세오름의 한라구절초도 주변의 식생이 변하고 조릿대의 우점으로 점점 개체수가 줄어 들고 있다고 한다.

 

제주에는 제주만의 특산식물이 많다. 그래서 유난히<한라> 와 <탐라> 란 접두어를 가진 식물이 많다.

이 녀석도 제주의 한라산에서만 서식하는 구절초로 잎이 가늘고 잘게 갈라지고다른 구절초에 비하여 키가 작으며

꽃줄기 끝에 제법 큰 한 송이 꽃을 피우는 특징을 가지고 있다.  꽃잎은 흰색이나 분홍색을 띠어 은은한 느낌을 준다

 

고지대에 서식하는 구절초로 한라구절초, 백두산에서 만난 바위구절초, 강원도 고산에서 만난 산구절초, 그리고 포천구절초가 있다.

네 녀석 모두 잎이 잘고 가늘게 갈라진 특징을 가지고 있는데 바위구절초와 포천구절초의 잎이 가장 가늘게 갈라져 있는데

 

백두산에서 본 바위구절초는 전초에 털이 뽀얗게 덮혀 있었는데 아마 구산의 낮은 기온에 적응하는 전략이 아닌가 생각이 된다.
올 겨울에는 <바위구절초> <산구절초> <포천구절초> <한라구절초> 네 녀석의 비교 자료를 만들어 봐야겠다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

총포의 포편 길이는 거의 비슷하고 포천구절초와 거의 흡사하다
