자주풀솜나물(국화과)=>미국풀솜나물

제주에서는 흔하게 만날 수 있는 귀화식물이다.

잎이 주걱형으로 길이 3-6㎝, 나비 5-10㎜로 끝이 원두이다. 가장자리가 다소 물결형이다.

잎의 표면은 털이 적으며 오래된 것은 거의 털이 없고, 뒷면은 우단처럼 긴 솜털이 밀포되어 흰색을 띤다.

 

자주로 보기에도 애매하던 이 녀석이 미국풀솜나물이었다.

줄기 위쪽 잎도 주걱형에 줄기 아래 잎겨드랑이까지 화서가 생겨서 길고, 내총포편이 자주보다 짧고

뿌리잎이 개화기에 시들고, 줄기와 잎 뒷면의 백색털이 적은 점이 특징이다.

 

 

 

꽃은 4-6월에 피며, 줄기 끝에 밀집된 수상화서를 이룬다.
