자주풀솜나물(국화과)

일본에서 귀화한 녀석으로 이젠 제주 식물의 바닥을 차지하고 있다.

잎은 주걱형이며 길이 3-6㎝, 나비 5-10㎜로 끝이 원두이다.

잎의 표면은 털이 적으며 오래된 것은 거의 털이 없고, 뒷면은 우단처럼 긴 솜털이 밀포되어 흰색을 띤다.

 

같은 속 귀화종인 선풀솜나물과 혼돈이 되는데 선풀솜나물의 줄기잎은 선형이고 자주풀솜나물의 줄기잎은 주걱형으로 다르다

식물체 전체가 긴 백색의 솜털로 덮여 있다. 줄기는 높이 20-40㎝이며 기부에서 가지를 치고 곧게 자란다.
