커다란 산뽕나무 수그루가 골짝에 엄청 많다.
예전에는 지나쳐 봐서 몰랐는데 나무가 수꽃으로 온통 누렇다. 마치 버드나무에 꽃이 핀 듯하다.
산뽕나무는 일반 뽕에 비하여 잎이 작다. 암꽃을 자세히 보다가 특이한 점을 발견하였다.
암꽃화서 반쪽은 납작하고 반쪽으로만 꽃이 몰려 있다는 거다.
암꽃이다. 산뽕나무 암술은 일반 뽕에 비하여 유난히 길고 열매가 까맣게 익을 때 까지 길게 달려 있다.
수꽃이다. 자방은 없고 노란 수술 꽃밥만 가득하다
