몽고뽕나무(뽕나무과 뽕나무속) Morus mongolica (Bureau) C. K. Schneid

엄청난 수령의 몽고뽕나무를 만나다.

가 보지 않던 길을 따라 차를 모는데 아주 큰 몽고뽕나무에 차를 세웠다.

 

이 녀석은 충북과 강원도의 석회암 지역에 분포하는데

잎꼬리가 가늘고 잎가장자리에 날카로운 톱니가 있고 그 끝에 3mm 정도의 바늘 같은 가시가 있다.

크고 둥근 잎에 비하여 열매는 매우 작다.

 

잎은 넓은 난형 또는 긴 타원형으로 밑부분은 심장 모양, 끝은 꼬리 모양으로 뾰족해지며,

가장자리는 날카로운 톱니 모양으로 톱니 끝에 바늘 같은 가시가 있다.
