섬노루귀(미나리아재비과 노루귀속) Hepatica maxima (Nakai) Nakai

2년만에 섬노루귀를 보러 울릉도에 들어 갔다.

후포에서 출항한 크루즈호는 아주 크게 묵직해서 웬만한 파도에도 흔들림 없이 묵묵히 바다를 달렸다. 묵직함 덕분에 속도를 낼 수 없지만 약을 먹지 않아도 멀미 걱정은 없을 정도로 아주 편안하고 안전하였다. 

 

몇 가지 할인 혜택을 받은 덕분에 크루즈호 배삯은 22000원 정도라 큰 부담 없이 배를 탈 수 있었다.

차를 가지고 가려다했더니, 내 차는 쉐보레 이쿼녹스로 외제 suv 차량으로 분류되어서 선적비가 79000원이다.  울릉도 현지 소형 차량 렌트비가 50000원이라 차를 렌트하고 절약되는 이틀치 40000원 정도로 식사비를 대신하기로 하였다. 

메인인 둘째 날은 흐린 날씨에 오후부터 비가 예보되어 있어서, 첫날 메인 촬영을 마쳐야 했다.

그래서 차를 인수받자 말자 나리분지 숲으로 들어가서 탐사를 시작하였다.

 

섬노루귀는 신엽이 아직 도르르 말려 있는 모습으로 소복소복 하얗게 꽃을 피우고 있었다.

울릉도 식물은 육지나 제주도 보다 더 대형으로 크기에서는 단연 우세하다. 노루귀도 마찬가지로 잎이 5살박이 손바닥보다 더 크고 꽃도 육지 녀석들 보다 훨씬 크다. 그래서 울릉도 식물에는 '왕'  '섬' 이란 접두어를 달고 있는 특산식물이 많다
