새끼노루귀(미나리아재비과)

30대 초반이었던가?

3월 초 비슬산 산행을 하는데 마른 검불 사이에 잎도 없이 하얗게 피어 있는 꽃을 보고

너무 신기해 했던 기억이 있는데 아마 그 녀석이 노루귀였을 것이다.

그 때야 야생화에 대한 관심들이 적고 그에 대한 정보가 일천할 때라 그 이후 별 다른 기억은 없다.

 

작년보다 사흘 정도 늦게 찾았는데 세복수초 골짝에 노루귀가 흐드러지고 있다.

제주도에 서식하는 녀석들을 모두 새끼노루귀라 부르기는 하는데 과연 새끼가 맞는지 좀 의문이다

새끼노루귀는 노루귀에 비하여 전체적으로 소형이고(길이 1~2cm, 폭 2~4cm) 잎 끝이 둥글거나 둔하다고 한다.
