국가표준식물목록에는 있지만 국내에 분포하지 않고 북부지방에는 분포한다고 한다.
국가표준식물목록의 잔잎산비장이속은 두 분류군이 있다.
잔잎산비장이

잔톱산비장이 Klasea hayatae (Nakai) Kitag.
산비장이가 두상화 가장자리의 관모양꽃은 암꽃인 데 비해 잔잎산비장이는 모두 양성꽃이다.
뿌리잎은 잎자루가 있으며 잎몸은 타원형으로 깃꼴로 완전하게 깊게 갈라진다.
산지의 바위지대, 건조한 경사지, 강가의 모래땅 등에서 자라는 여러해살이풀이다. 중국, 러시아, 몽골에 분포한다.
