좀스럽기야 하겠지 생각했지만 이렇게 좀스러운 녀석이라 미처 생각을 못했다.
봄 날 제주에 들락거리면서 이 녀석을 봐야겠다 생각은 했지만
동행들이 있으니 이쁜 제주 꽃들을 보기에도 바쁜 시간인데이 외래종 하나 보자고 시간을 허비할 수가 없었더랬다.
4월에 꽃을 피우는 녀석을 6월 중순에 찾아다니면서 그래도 전동싸리 정도로 키가 크겠지 생각 했던 게 오산이었다.
논문을 발췌하여 정리해 놓았던 것을 다시 들여다 보지 않았던 게 내 불찰이었다.
키가 크지 않은데다가 결실기라 다른 풀들 사이에 비스듬하게 누워 있으니 찾기 쉽지 않았는데
도로변 큰 돌에 의지하여 누워 있는 낯선 녀석을 보고서야 이 녀석이구나 하고 풀속을 뒤지니까
그제서야 녀석이 눈에 들어온다.
이미 꽃잔치는 끝이 났고 열매가 떨어지고 있었는데 곁가지에서 뒤늦게 꽃을 피운 녀석을 애지 중지 들여다보고 촬영을 하였다
