우묵사스레피(차나무과) 수꽃 Eurya emarginata (Thunb.) Makino

남부 해안 도서지역과 제주도에 서식하는 녀석은

도란형의 잎이 두텁고 가장자리가 뒤로 말려 있어서 우묵한 모양을 하고 있다.

 

이 계절에 꽃을 피워서 내년 이맘 때 쯤 까맣게 열매를 까맣게 익히는데

꽃향기는 별로 유쾌하지 못한 구린내를 피우고 있어서 향기는 비호감 대상이다.
