인동덩굴(인동과 인동속) Lonicera japonica Thunb.

어릴 적 새참을 들고 아부지 일하시는 들로 가던 여름 들 길에는 멍석딸기가 익거나 인동꽃이 피어 있었다.

새참을 드시는 동안 노란 인동꽃을 따서 쪽쪽 꿀을 빨아 먹기도 했었는데 무척 달콤했던 기억이 있다.

가끔 그 맛을 느낄 수 있을까 하여 인동 꽃을 따서 입에 넣어보기도 하는데 그런 달콤함이 느껴지지 않는다.

아마 내 입이 사치스러워 진 때문이 아닐까 싶다.
