당광나무(물푸레나무과 쥐똥나무속) Ligustrum lucidum W.T.Aiton

비오는 남도의 아침이다. 편백 숲으로 가기 위해서 일찍부터 서둘렀는데 비가 제법이다.

길거리게 식재되었지만 하얗게 꽃이 핀 나무를 그냥 지나치지 못하고 잠시 시간을 비웠다

광나무 같지만 잎이 더 두텁고 큰 당광나무(길이 5-12cm, 폭 3-5cm)이다. 광나무(3~8cm, 폭은 2.5~4.5㎝)

화서도 크고 더 풍성하다. 광나무 열매는 긴 타원형인데 당광나무 열매는 거의 구형에 가깝다

 

 

 

광나무에 비하여 화서가 대형으로 풍성하고 화관이 깊게 갈라지며 화관 열편이 뒤로 말리는 특징이 있다(화관 통부가 열편보다 다소 짧다)
