개병풍(범의귀과)

지난 여름에는 자생지의 개병풍 꽃을 보러 가지 못하였다.

대신에 이곳 자생식물원에서 그 아쉬운 맘을 위안 받는다.

 

초본류 잎 중에서 개병풍보다 더 큰 녀석은 없을 것이다.

소나기가 내리면 우산을 대신하여 쓸 수 있을 만큼 커다란 잎으로 가득한

강원도 어느 골짝에서 벌어진 입을 다물지 못할 정도였는데 이 녀석도 멸종위기 2급 위기식물이다.

 

 

 

 

 

근생엽은 방패모양으로 큰 것은 지름이 80cm에 달하고 가장자리가 7개 정도로 얕게 갈라지며 잔톱니가 있고

장상으로 갈라진 엽맥은 다시 2개씩 차상으로 갈라지며 엽병은 길이 80~90cm, 지름 2cm 정도이고 탁엽은 막질이다.

 

 

 

줄기는 곧게 서며 높이가 1m에 달하고 가시같은 털이 있다.
