아구장나무(장미과 조팝나무속) Spiraea chartacea Nakai

아구장나무와 당조팝나무는 무척 비슷하여 에지간해서 구분하기 어렵다.

가장 쉬운 방법은 화경의 털을 확인하는 건데 털이 없는 게 아구장이다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

꽃은 5월경에 피며 지름 5-8mm로서 백색의 양성화이고 새가지 끝에 15-20개의 꽃이 산형화서에 달리며 화서에 털이 없고

소화경은 길이 0.7-1.2cm이다. 꽃받침잎은 곧으며 꽃잎은 5개로 수술과 길이가 거의 같다.

 

 

 

꽃자루에 털이 없고 매끈하다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

잎은 호생하며 길이 3-4㎝로서 타원형 또는 도란형이고 첨두이며 예저 또는 넓은 예저이고

상반부에 톱니가 있으나 간혹 3개로 갈라지는 것도 있으며 표면에 잔털이 있거나 없고, 엽병은 길이 2-3mm이다.

뒷면은 밀모가 있다고는 하는데 관찰 결과 잎맥 위에만 털이 보인다.

 

 

잎 뒷면은 회록색이고 잎맥, 잎자루, 어린 가지에는 털이 있다.

 

높이가 2m에 달하고 줄기는 곧추서며 가지는 회갈색 또는 황갈색이고 소지에는 털이 있다.
