애기풀(원지과)

양지바른 숲 가장자리나 묘지 부근에서 쉽게 만날 수 있는 애기풀은 마치 보라색 나비 떼를 보는 듯하다.

애기풀은 초본성 반관목으로서 높이가 20cm에 달하고 뿌리에서 여러 대가 나와 곧추 또는 비스듬히 자라며 전체에 잔털이 난다

같은 원지과 애기풀속 녀석으로 두메애기풀이 있는데, 올해 만나 봐야 할 녀석이다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

잎은 호생하며 타원형, 긴 타원형 또는 난형이고 길이 2cm로서 줄기와 더불어 잔털이 있다. 엽병이 매우 짧다.

 

 

 

 

4-5월에 짧은 총상화서가 나와 접형화 비슷한 연한 홍색 꽃이 달리며 꽃받침잎은 5개로서 꽃잎처럼 생긴 양쪽 2개의 꽃받침잎이 날개모양으로 된다. 꽃잎은 밑부분이 합쳐져서 한쪽만 터지고 앞면에 해당하는 꽃잎 뒷면에 갈라진 열편이 있으며 수술은 8개로서 밑부분이 합쳐진다. 씨방은 2실이며 화주(花柱)는 2갈래로 갈라진다
