누운닭의장풀(닭의장풀과 닭의장풀속) Commelina caroliniana Walter

이틀동안 푸근하던 날씨가 갑가지 곤두박질쳤다.

누운닭의장풀 발견지에 차를 세우고 밭으로 들어가는데 바람이 어찌나 센지 추워서 후퇴.

아마도 주변에 벌써 많이 번졌을 것 같아서

차를 세워 둔 리조트 옆을 살피니 역시 예상대로다.

누렇게 마른 잎과 줄기가 사방으로 길게 벋어 있다. 

줄기를 들추니 마디마다 뿌리를 내려서 땅속에 박고 있다.

머잖아서 주변이 이 녀석으로 덮힐 것 같아서 걱정이 된다.

 

일년생초본으로 근경이 없고, 지상으로 넓게 퍼져 자란다. 줄기는 눕거나 기어 오르며, 아래에서 가지를 치고, 마디에서 뿌리가 내리며, 길이 1m이상 자라고, 털이 없다. 잎은 호생하며, 자루가 없거나 짧게 있다. 엽초는 강모와 섬모가 있고, 녹색에서 적색의 맥이 보이며, 엽신은 피침형 또는 피침상 타원형으로 길이 2.2~6.2㎝, 폭 0.7~1.5㎝이고,끝은 뾰족하며, 가장자리는 전연하고, 기부는 심장저 또는 원저이며, 밝은 녹색을 띠고, 털이 없다.

내년 초가을에 꽃은 봐야겠지. 

 

 

줄기 마디마다 뿌리를 내리고 개체 번식을 한다.
