달래(백합과 부추속) 수꽃 Allium monanthum Maxim.

오후의 숲에서 달래가 노랗게 꽃밥을 드러내 보이는 꽃을 피우고 있었다.

가느다란 꽃줄기에 1~3개의 꽃을 피우는 수꽃이다. 

 

달래는 암꽃과 수꽃을 따로 피우는 암수딴포기이다.

화피는 6장 수술은 6개이며, 암술대는 짧고 끝이 3갈래로 갈라진다. 

 

그런데 우리가 봄나물 찬거리로 먹는 달래는 사실 산달래(A. macrostemon Bunge)이고 

이렇게 작은 꽃을 피우는 녀석을 달래라 불러야 하니 국명이 뒤바뀌어 붙여져 버렸다.

 

달래는 우리 나라에 자생하는 부추속(Allium) 식물들에 비해서 두상이 아닌 산형으로 꽃이 피며,

봄에 꽃을 피우고 암수딴포기이다.
