만리화(물푸레나무과 개나리속) Forsythia ovata Nakai

석회암 지대 암릉에서 만리화가 개화하고 있는 걸 만났다.

이 고개가 연결되는 이웃 산에도 만리화가 자생하고 있다.

 

도감상에는 만리화는 잎에 털이 없다고 하는데 털이 있는 경우도 있어서 혼란이 온다.

만리화를 산개나리로 통합하여 봐야 한다는 견해가 있는데 잎의 털이나 엽형의 변이가 큰 만큼 타당하다고 생각이 든다.
