꾸지뽕나무(뽕나무과 꾸지뽕나무속) Cudrania tricuspidata (Carrière) Bureau ex Lavallée

자생의 꾸지뽕나무 붉은 열매다 아주 풍성하게 달렸다.

잘 익은 말랑말랑한 열매 하나 먹어 보았더니 단맛이 좀 있고 먹기에  크게 거부감이 안 느껴졌다.

 

 우리나라 황해도 이남의 서해안과 남해안 서부지역에 주로 자생한다. 

뽕나무과의 다른 속과 비교하여 잎겨드랑이에 변형된 가시가 있고, 잎에 톱니가 없으며 수꽃차례가 머리 모양이다.
