땅속줄기가 있어서 군락을 이룬다.
선자령에서 마악 화서가 나오고 있는 녀석들을 처음 만났다.
화서의 특징이 뚜렷하고 무리지어 자라는 모습에서 금방 녀석의 정체를 찾을 수 있었다.
벼과 녀석들은 이삭이 나오는 초기, 개화, 결실기의 모습이 많이 달라서 그 때 그때 모두 관찰해 두어야 한다.
