새밥(골풀과 꿩의밥속) Luzula rufescens Fisch. ex E.Mey.

백두대간 고개마루 계곡부에서 찾은 녀석의 이름을 이제사 찾아 준다

아마도 새밥으로 보인다는 조언을 듣고 도감을 확인해 보니 아무데도 없는데

이영노 박사의 대한식물도감에 새밥이 소개 되어 있다

 

한라산과 지리산, 부전고원에 서식하는 별꿩의밥과 닮은 산형화서를 가진 녀석이다 땅속줄기가 발달되어 군집으로 서식을 한다 피침형 화피(3mm)는 열매(3.2mm)와 길이가 거의 같거나 약간 길다.

 

도감상의 내용과 거의 일치한다

이 녀석을 금방 만났을 때는 별꿩의밥이 가뭄으로 제대로 성장하지 못한 녀석인가 싶었는데

아무래도 별꿩의밥으로 보기에는 무리인 듯하여 그냥 정리하지 못했었다

 

산새밥과 새밥 두녀석이 비슷한 듯 하지만 산새밥은 산꿩의밥처럼 3~5개의 두상화가 산형화서로 달리고

새밥은 아래처럼 산형화서인 점에서 차이가 난다

 

 

 

 

 

화경이 매우 짧은 상형화서이고 화피에 싸인 열매가 보이지 않는다

아무래도 바위 위의 이 무더기는 가뭄 때문에 결실이 안된 것 같다. 쭉정이가 나버린 게 아닌가 싶다
